Burn & Bloom: A Scorpio New Moon Circle

  • Eight Limbs Yoga 525 Wythe Street Alexandria, Virginia, 22314 United States (map)

Sacred moon circles that support women’s mindfulness, connection, and emotional renewal — guided with intention, community, and ritual.

Join us to deepen your self-connection, honor the lunar cycle, and experience guided practices that renew your heart and spirit.

Join us under the dark of the November new moon in Scorpio, the sign of transformation, depth, and rebirth. New moons are an excellent time to plant seeds for the next chapter. Scorpio deepens the roots of rebirth, while clearing the way for their highest growth potential.

As the season turns inward toward winter, it's an ideal time for committing to personal goals that align with Scorpio's depth and focus as well as releasing deep and dark emotions and outdated patterns.

Together we’ll explore what we’re ready to release and the intentions we want to grow in its place through a guided writing practice. Then we’ll craft sacred herb bundles to take home, and, weather permitting, close the evening outdoors to release what no longer serves us and make room for what’s ready to bloom.

Come as you are, and leave a little lighter.

What to expect: Circles are held in person. They offer time to share what's on your heart as you feel called, participate in a guided mindfulness practice (yoga, meditation, or sound healing), and a creative activity connected to the month's topic such as painting, embroidery, watercolor, and more: an invitation to honor yourself and practice self-love in a safe and fun environment.

What to bring and keep in mind:

  1. Circles are sacred space. Respect, conscientiousness, and confidentiality are important tenets of keeping a space intentional, safe, and true to its purpose (held with integrity). We expect all attendees to uphold these tenets in holding a co-creative seat during circle participation.

  2. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time for parking, shoe removal, and settling in.

  3. To drop deeper into presence, recommend limiting your phone use during circles if possible.

  4. Bring: water, yoga mat, journal/pen, blanket optional, and yourself as you are.

  5. Wear: comfortable clothes and layers to add or remove if needed. We will plan to walk outside to a park during this circle, so please bring your layers and appropriate shoes depending on the weather.

An example of what 2 hours in our circle may include:

  1. - Opening ceremony

  2. - Mindfulness Belly Breathing

  3. - Journaling while sipping warm and delicious tea

  4. - Sharing from the heart

  5. - Dance break

  6. - Watercolor abstract painting activity

  7. - Yin Yoga

  8. - Closing circle

*** Please remember every circle is different, since we plan them around the full moon energy of the month ***
